Food is medicine.

These days it seems that more and more people have food sensitivities.  Creating meals that include everyone can be a challenge. What you’ll find here are mostly plant-based recipes, whole foods, and updated familiar classics that bring family and friends together at the table.

For the past 12 years I’ve been on a wellness odyssey that began after the birth of my second child. I’ve recovered from autoimmune conditions, digestive issues, and Lyme disease. Following a string of doctor visits and false diagnoses, I decided to take matters into my own hands and search for ways to reclaim my health naturally. I’ve experimented A LOT and experienced the undeniable power of nutrition and lifestyle medicine. It’s a daily practice that ebbs and flows and has now become a full time job!  

While I don’t believe that we ever reach “perfect” health, I do believe that being healthy is more of a direction than a destination. A road we can return to again and again. We can make choices every day, big and small, that lead us toward well-being. 

I’m forever curious, constantly developing recipes and exploring ways to simplify and stay connected to my body. 

In 2016 I moved to a farm in Upstate NY with my husband and our two teenage daughters. It was an attempt to further the healing process and begin a new chapter of living more closely with nature.

In our family we cook simple breakfasts and weeknight dinners. We host dinner parties, lazy weekend brunches, sleepovers, birthdays, holiday gatherings, and potlucks. Frozen pizza and tamales are in solid rotation and lately I can be found happily eating a bowl of stir-fried brown rice.

I hope to offer you inspiration as you piece together your own unique puzzle of health and happiness as I continue to discover mine.
